If you email us, we receive your email address and anything else you choose to include. We use your message to respond to your request. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information, especially details about children.
Information used to run the site
Our hosting provider processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, request time, and referring page. This helps deliver and protect the site.
Optional analytics and fonts
We use a country-level estimate provided by our hosting server to determine which analytics choice may apply. Analytics currently stays off until you choose “Allow analytics.” Our planned setting is to start Google Analytics 4 by default outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, with an option to turn it off. In those regions, and whenever the country estimate is missing or unclear, Analytics will remain off until you opt in. That regional setting will be enabled only after the site’s privacy notice and applicable requirements have been reviewed. The country estimate is not precise location data, and it may be wrong, for example if you use a VPN.
If Analytics is active, Google receives event information such as page path, page title, general browser/device information, and outbound link destinations. GA4 uses first-party cookies for measurement; browser settings may limit their lifetime. Event and user data retention is set to 14 months, without resetting that period when a visitor returns. Google Signals and ad-personalization signals are disabled. Your choice is stored in local storage for the hostname you visit until you change it or clear site data; the apex and www hostnames store separate choices. Rejecting analytics does not affect your use of the guide.
The site also requests typefaces from Google Fonts; Google may receive technical request information when your browser loads those fonts. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google’s handling of information.
Affiliate and other external links
Some links may take you to Klook or another external service. Those services operate under their own privacy notices and may collect information when you visit or book. Affiliate relationships are disclosed near relevant links and on the site. You can use the guide without booking through an affiliate link.
Children’s information
This guide is written for adults planning travel with children. It is not intended to ask children to create accounts or submit personal information. If you email us, please do not include unnecessary personal details about a child.
